The Vision of Vincent Van Gogh

Along a back road in the south of France, I discovered a scene reminiscent of a painting Vincent Van Gogh completed 131 years ago.  Wheat Field with Cypress was painted near the end if his life when he was a patient in the asylum in Saint-Rémy de Provence. 

Van Gogh failed in his quest of the ministry, but used painting to express his deeply held beliefs of the relationship of nature and mankind. 

The light, color, serenity and spirituality seen in his brilliant works is still in France today.  And other places! Take time to absorb the beauty that is everywhere.
