Other Side of the Gate

Every day she walks by this open gate, asking herself,  what’s on the other side?  If she walks through,  will it be into a new world as if walking into a time machine?  Or will it be just a house and garden where people live their everyday lives 

This is her dilemma in life.  Must she forever live in this small village, remaining true to her family and their needs and wishes, or can she reach for something better, far away both in distance and in her mind.

Each day we face choices—some simple and others with profound consequences. Yet, making those choices is like walking through the gate.  We don’t always know what is on the other side.
